Every ski resort has their own season pass, but have you thought about purchasing one of the Ultimate Season Passes? The Epic Pass, The Ikon Pass, and The Mountain Collective Pass are all worthy of giving a look before you make your final purchase.
If you live in any western mountain area of the US, chances are you are within a few hours from a major ski resort. What a convenience for you! If you live anywhere else, chances are you need to plan ahead of time for a ski vacation. Both locals and tourists can benefit from these Ultimate Season Passes.
Having Park City as a home base, where locals are spoiled with “The Best Snow on Earth”, we not only have amazing skiing within an hour, but access to all the major western resorts for all seasons. Since we are talking about ski and snowboard passes, we’ll stick to winter resort accessibility for now. Within day or weekend trip from Park City are the following resorts and the amount of time it takes to drive there
4.5 hour drive to Jackson Hole WY, a little further to Grand Targhee WY

7 hours to Big Sky MT

These may sound far but anything under 10 hours on the Western side of the US is a fairly easy drive.
All of the resorts within an hour of Park city Include: Park City Mountain, Deer Valley (Ski Only), Brighton, Solitude, Alta (Ski Only), Snowbird, Powder Mountain, Snow Basin, & Nordic Valley.
Once you look at the available resorts on these passes you will find that most of the local resorts are included as well as the resorts within a 10-hour radius of Park City. There are many variables when choosing your Ultimate Season Pass, so please ask yourself these questions before you choose one.
Which pass is more common among Family and Friends?
Do I like to experience as many new Resorts as possible?
Do I like staying in one location?
Which Resort is closest to my home, will I ever travel there?
Will I be going on multiple Ski vacations this year?
Am I an extreme skier/snowboarder?

But do not worry, no matter which passes you choose, you are bound to have a memorable experience at all of these amazing Resort destinations. Having Park City as my home base definitely makes this decision hard for me in the best way possible. The possibilities with each pass make for an amazing Winter Season of chasing storms, meeting other family and friends who are on their vacations, and much more. I love being able to hop into my car and pick a different Resort for a quick and easy weekend getaway. Where else could you be in the center of all the amazing Resorts for Winter sports?
