Are There Still Investment Opportunities in the Park City Area?

I have several investor clients. After all, my web site is parkcityincomeproperty.com. Investment, rental income property and property management for vacation homes is how I got started in the real estate industry in 2005.

But are there still investment deals in the Park City area? I say yes. You just have to do your homework and be willing to move outside of Park City proper. Park City is a resort town, so it makes sense that the people who make our world function, like the employees in the service industry, need to live a reasonable distance away. As prices in Park City continue to climb at a healthy, steady rate, those employees are to moving further out of town to find more affordable housing. That is what makes the Kamas Valley and nearby areas attractive.

The Kamas Valley is a beautiful agrarian community with a central business district “downtown”. It is only 15 minutes from Park City proper, and best of all, the free Park City public transit system now services this area.

The surrounding areas near Park City have hiking and mountain biking trails, grocery stores and gas stations, restaurants, medical facilities, a fabulous recreation center and the DeJoria Events Center. The home prices are lower but still appreciating. The rental income is decent for the investor. That coupled with appreciation, makes this area attractive.

And it’s not just the hard workers in the service industry who live in the area. Young families are also calling the Kamas Valley and the surrounding areas home.
